• Anker Astro Mini 3200mAh Ultra-Compact External Battery. Can’t recommend these things enough if you live on your phone and are likely to spend a big chunk of the day away from direct power.
• AmazonBasics Apple Certified Lightning to USB Cable - 4 inches/10cm.
• Moleskine Volant Extra Small Ruled Notebook. 10.5cm tall, 6.5cm across. Not ideal for serious work, but for jotting things down while on the move, fine. If I know I’m going to have time while travelling, a Field Notes goes in the jacket’s other inside pocket.
• AmazonBasics Premium In-Ear Headphones with Microphone. The advantage over Apple EarPods for basic listening and phone conversations is simple: flat cables. They don’t tangle. I can pull them out of the sleeve and just shake them. How Apple spent all that time designing the EarPod bud and not considering flat cables is beyond me.
• SanDisk Extreme CZ80 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive. Hardly used every day, but when I need it I don’t want to be kicking myself for not having packed it.
• Pilot Frixion pen.
