And Out

I’m picking this back up in 2016. Buying myself out of the rest of this year. A lot of this year was good, if you don’t count the Miscellaneous Neurological Event and The Mutant Flu That Nearly Killed Me and, well, losing pretty much the last half of 2015. Business- and work-wise, a disaster from top to bottom. Switching everything off that isn’t personal communications and thinking about the scheduling and structure of what is going to be a very busy 2016 with a lot of catch-up built into the first couple of months. It’s always kind of absurd that the top of a year feels like starting again and afresh — but it always does. The world goes click at 12 midnight and we have a drink and start all over again. Never a clean slate, never a new track, but somehow, to me, the world goes click and I get a breath and take it from the top.

Here we go again.
